The Bizeo ODBC package allows you to monitor any ODBC data source by giving you the capabilities to create your own KPI’s through the use of the Bizeo Script Editor. You require firm knowledge of your database structure, as well as how to query your database.

This is a local PC package.
To use it, you need to have a Bizeo Drone installed on your Windows PC or network.

Activating your ODBC package

  1. Install the package on your drone.
If you have more than one drone, you'll need to decide which to assign the ODBC package to (if you haven't already done so). If you have only one drone, you can skip this step.
  2. Open your 'Bizeo Settings' application. To do this, either right-click the Bizeo indicator icon on your Windows toolbar (which may be inside the collapsed group under the small arrow near your clock) or launch it from your Windows Start Menu.
  3. Click on the Installed Packages tab. You should see your ODBC package here. Click on the 'Add new data source' button.
  4. Set up a data source to connect to your database:
    1. Create a name for your data source.
    2. Enter the connection string for your data source.
    3. Click the 'Test Connection' button to ensure Bizeo can access the data source. If your connection test is successful, click the 'Finish' button to save your data source. If the connection test fails, check your credentials.
  5. After saving your data source, you're ready to set up a task in your Bizeo account.

Using your ODBC package

Please note: Installing this package simply allows Bizeo to connect to your ODBC data source. You need to develop your own KPIs for the ODBC package. See the documentation above for an explanation of this.

When adding a new task in Bizeo:

  1. Select the Drone on which you've installed the package and configured the data source.
  2. Select the data source you have just set up.
  3. Select a KPI and set the parameters, and save your task. Bizeo will be displaying your data in no time!
  4. Repeat for each KPI you want to monitor.
